Paolo Costa


Born at Iglesias (Sardinia-Italy) in 1950. In 1975 he graduates in Medicine and Surgery at the Padova University and then obtains the specialization in Orthopedy and Traumatology at the Milan University. Since 1980 he lives and works in Ponte di Legno, Brescia province. Lover of the sea and expert diver and speleo-diver: he was the first man who filmed, with Mike Madden, the cave in Noc-nah-chic in Yucatan, and some caves in sardinia, like Ispinigoli. He visited many countries in the world (more than 80), and in 1989 he founded ORCA, association of research and documentation, that collaborates with important universities (Milano, Parma, Trieste, Chieti, and C.N.R. of Ancona). Paolo is the director of many Orca documentaries.

Francesco Vitucci
Born in Bari in 1949, he graduates in Medicine and Surgery at the Padova University, and he obtains the specialization in General Surgery and Dentistry. Expert photographer, with a thirty-year-long esperience, scuba-diver and researcher of life sciences, today he devotes oneself to ORCA. His texts of many documentaries are inspired by his researches in anthropologyc and scientific fields.

Tommaso Costa

Born at Milano in 1983. He is the son of Paolo, founder of O.R.C.A. Last-year student of the Department of Law at the Catholic of Sacro Cuore di Gesu’ University in Milano; he is presently engaged in the political activity as a counselor of the faculty at the University. He is interested in wide range of arts, with a particular aptitude for the visual arts. He contribute to the realization of numerous documentaries of O.R.C.A., shot in Sardinia, Tonga, Australia, Yucatan and in other italian places. His collaborations doesn’t limit hisself to the shooting, but continues in the direction and the film montage.


Mauro Berruti


Born in Brescia in 1951, after the degree at the Law University in Milan, since 1977 he is an attorney at law. He travels around the world for many years: Mauro is a member of the Club Internazionale dei Grandi Viaggiatori (CIGV). The wish to document the experiences of his travels approaches him to the video world and editing video. For this passion he became a movie camera collector. Today he uses only digital movie caneras. He utilizes Internet from its beginning; he made and runs many sites, an sent Orca site.


Lamberto Ferri Ricchi

Born in Roma in 1941. He practises the underwater activity since 1950. Since the end of '50, he planned and carried out speleologic, geoarcheologic and underwater expeditions in submerged caves, in hot springs and rivers; in several italian lakes with the discovery of submerged prehistorical villages. He planned and spread the first techniques of diving speleology (1963). He is a member of qualified scientific organizations. Co-founder of the Comitato Italiano Ricerche e Studi Subacquei, he partecipated in the invention and the realization of several underwater documentaries, broadcasted by RAI (Radio Terlevisione Italiana) and by o sting stations.


Roberto Chiesa



Roberto Chiesa was born in 1958. After he sailed round the world, he reached the land with the same determination and satisfaction. Defined travelling explorer by the the press, he is an expert about Oceania and South America. He organized archaeological expeditions with the Ligabue Organization of Venice, planned sports "no limit" events in Australia, Cile, Bolivia and New Zealand with the famous athlet Paolo Venturini; he cooperates with Orca Production in the documentaries section. Pierandrea Brichetti


Born in 1946, he lives in Verolavecchia (Brescia province). Since 1979 he works as ornithologist. At the beinning of his activity (in 1970) he met Prof. Edgardo Moltoni, dean of the italian ornithologists and director of the Civic Museum of Natural History of Milan, from which Pierandrea formed himself. He published about twenty books and more than 200 scientific publications, that appeared on italian and international journals. He was member of the Scientific Committee of the "Progetto Atlante Italiano". Now he is director of the CISO (Italian Center of Ornithological Studies), that moves up the scientific research in Italy, determines the "line" of the Research, and organizes the conventions of ornithology. Pierandrea is secretary of the Italian Ornithological Commission, and member of the editorial staff of the "Rivista italiana di Ornitologia" and "Avocetta". He collaborated with RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana) for the realization of documentaries in the serial “Pan” and “Geo”. He wrote articles for Airone and Ori medial CD-ROM.
